Big Blue Marble

I have this big blue marble
Twas given to me when I was born
What for? I asked my Father
Choices had to be made, my heart was torn
Days came, months passed, years dropped by
All laced with sunshine and rain I saw
And sometimes, I simply forgot to try
To find out what my big blue marble was for
Then came this lady with a cloth most of us missed
On it, she poured her dreams and made us wonder
Though she left before the cloth was finished
I realised she too had a big blue marble
Its funny how at once, life is happy and sad
But I'm glad that this lady said "See?"
I must never stop trying, no matter how bad
So that one day surely
Big blue marble will be proud of me
in loving memory & respect of Datin Seri Endon Mahmood
